The website etnoapace.si is operated by the Eko skupnost Apače, Zavod za holistično bivanje človeka, Stogovci 54, 9253 Apače (hereinafter: Eco Community of Apace; also derivatives of “we”).

This privacy policy explains in detail how we use the personal information you provide to us when you use the website.

1. What is personal data?

Personal data is information that directly or indirectly identifies you as an individual, where “indirectly” means in combination with other information, e.g. your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, identification number, location data or other identifiers.

2. What personal data do we collect?

If you are a visitor to the Eco Community Apace website, we collect information about you using cookies and visit analysis. If you have opted in to receive notifications via the online form, we also collect other personal data about you that we need to keep you informed. This personal data includes:

contact email address;

3. How do we use (process) your personal data?

All personal data provided is treated confidentially and is used only for the purpose for which it was provided. Eco Community Apace takes data security very seriously. We apply an adequate level of protection and have put in place reasonable physical, electronic and administrative measures to safeguard the collected data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or unauthorised access to, personal data that have been transmitted, stored or otherwise processed. Our information protection policies and procedures are closely aligned with widely accepted international standards and are regularly reviewed and updated as necessary to meet our business needs, changes in technology and regulatory requirements. Access to your personal data is only allowed to staff who need the data for business reasons (business need-to-know) or who need it to do their job.

In the event of a personal data breach, the Apache Eco Community will follow all relevant data breach regulations.

In the case of a newsletter subscription, we process the e-mail address you provide on the basis of your consent for the purpose of general information about events and summaries of news, articles and other topics published on the etnoapace.si website.

Eco Community Apace undertakes not to sell, lend or otherwise disclose the information you provide through the website or in any other way to third parties, except in the cases listed below and unless otherwise prohibited by law.

Eco-Community Apace will only disclose your personal data to the specified third parties under the conditions set out below, ensuring that your personal data is processed, protected and transferred in accordance with the applicable regulations:

Public authorities

We will only disclose your personal data to public authorities where required to do so by national or European Union law. For example, we will respond to. at the request of courts, law enforcement authorities and other public authorities, which may include the public authorities of another EU country.

4. Your rights in relation to your personal data

Individuals may request from the Apache Eco-Community access to personal data, rectification, erasure or restriction of the processing of your personal data, the right to object to processing and the portability of your personal data.

Right to information: you always have the right to know whether personal data concerning you is being processed and, if so, to have access to the personal data and the following information: (a) the purposes of the processing; (b) the types of personal data concerned; (c) the users or categories of user to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed; (d) the envisaged period of retention of the personal data or, if this is not possible, the criteria to be used to determine that period; (e) where the personal data is not collected from you, any available information regarding its source.

Right to rectification: you have the right to have inaccurate personal data relating to you rectified and, taking into account the purposes of the processing, the right to have incomplete personal data completed.

Right to erasure: You have the right to have your personal data erased where one of the following applies:

(a) the personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed; (b) where you withdraw the consent on the basis of which the processing is carried out and where there is no other legal basis for the processing; (c) where you object to processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for processing; (d) the personal data have been unlawfully processed.

Right to restriction of processing: you have the right to have us restrict the processing of your personal data where one of the following applies:

(a) where you contest the accuracy of the data, for a period that allows us to verify the accuracy of the personal data; (b) the processing is unlawful and you object to the erasure of the personal data and instead request a restriction on its use; (c) we no longer need your personal data for the purposes of the processing, but you need them to assert, exercise or defend legal claims; (d) if you have raised an objection to processing based on the legitimate interests of the Apache Eco-Community, until it is verified that our legitimate grounds outweigh yours.

Where the processing of your personal data has been restricted in accordance with the preceding paragraph, such personal data shall, with the exception of their storage, be processed only with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person.

We are obliged to inform you before revoking the restriction on the processing of your personal data.

Right to data portability: you have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and the right to have that data transferred to another controller where the processing is based on your consent or is carried out by automated means. At your request, where technically feasible, personal data may be transferred directly to another controller.

Right to object: where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interest for marketing purposes, you may object to such processing at any time.

Right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner: if we do not decide on your request within the statutory time limit or if we refuse your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner.

5. Access to and rectification of your personal data and exercise of other rights

As a user of the etnoapace.si website, you have the right to check whether the Apače Eco Community processes personal data about you and to access the personal data we hold about you or. processed (in which case we will send them to you as a machine-readable PDF document). You can always request that inaccurate personal data about you be corrected. If you consider that there is no longer a legitimate reason to continue using or. processing of your personal data, please let us know. You also have the right to restrict the use of your personal data in cases where you contest the accuracy of the personal data, where you consider the processing to be unlawful but do not wish to have it erased, and where the personal data are no longer necessary for the purpose of the processing but are necessary for the establishment of legal claims. In the case of subscription to the email newsletter, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.

If you wish to exercise your rights as described above, please send your request in writing, by email to info@etnoapace.si. The person responsible will get back to you within the 1 month deadline. In case of complexity and a large number of requests, we may extend the deadline by up to two additional months, and you will be informed accordingly.

6. Storage

Eco Community Apace keeps the data related to the services provided for one month after the service has been completed. After that time, we delete them, unless otherwise provided by law.

Eco Community Apace will also not delete the data that it needs to provide proof that it has deleted a person’s data (the so-called audit trail) and to keep records of people who do not want to be contacted by the Eco Community Apace in the future. This information is the email address.

7. Cookies

Eco Community Apace uses “cookies” on the website – these are small files that are placed on your computer when you visit the site. Cookies can make it easier for you to continue visiting the site. You can choose whether to accept or reject cookies by adjusting the settings in your browser.
